Pre-K Information Hub

Our PB&J Pre-k classrooms serve 60 children in the Albuquerque South Valley, SOUTHEAST, and the town of Bernalillo. We serve 4-YEAR-OLD children in each of our classrooms and enrollment is continuous. The child must be 4 years old by September 1st of the enrollment year. Limited transportation to each of our sites is provided.

Transportation Information

If you do not need your child picked up please call your child’s school site by 7:45 AM. South Valley (505) 877-7060 South East (505) 944-7224 Bernalillo (505) 867-2356

  • No eating or drinking on the bus 

  • Pick up & Drop off times are approximate times 

  • The drivers may be up to 15 minutes early or 15 minutes late for both pick up and drop off. 

  • Drivers will only wait 5 minutes before they have to leave for next student 

  • Students will have to be buckled and unbuckled by approved person assisting them on and off the bus 

  • Bus drivers are not allowed to leave their seats, so they cannot buckle or unbuckle students.  

  • Only approved individuals are allowed to get students on and off the bus. If no one is home for your child, they will be taken back to school to wait for pick-up in the afternoons. We only allow individuals who you have previously been approved for pick up and drop off.  

  • PLEASE listen to Bus Driver 

  • Our bus drivers care about the safety of all students over anything. Listening to our bus drivers is very important!  

 

Pre-K Requirements

  • Initial Home Visit

  • Ages & stages questionnaire (ASQ) to determine child growth areas

  • Three parent teacher conferences

  • Parent survey

  • Family engagement-one weekly activity & one monthly whole group activity

    Additional Services Offered

  • In-home family supports to foster child growth

  • Referrals to PB&J and outside sources for family needs
