For over 45 years, PB&J has been helping at-risk children grow and develop to their full potential in nurturing families within supportive communities. This time of the year, PB&J reaches out to the community in order to provide holiday gifts for families with limited resources and extensive needs.
We match each PB&J Family with a sponsor from the community in order to provide them (unwrapped) gifts for the holidays. Each family completes a wish list with their case-worker to provide suggestions for the donor on essential items such as bedding, food, clothes, cleaning supplies, as well as modest wishes for the children which may include developmental toys and activities. The lists have the first name of each family member, clothing and shoe size, as well as special interests of the family.
Some donors like to deliver the presents directly to the family while others prefer PB&J staff to deliver them. Special arrangements must be made for donors that would like to deliver the presents directly, so please let us know if this is something you would like to do so we can ensure the family you sponsor has consented to meeting in person.
We are so appreciative of all the caring community members who are kind enough to adopt-a-family and help ensure that no families are left behind this holiday season. The Holiday Wish Program brings the community together through these tough economic times and truly makes a difference in the lives of each sponsored family. This is often the only way these families are able to receive essential items which will benefit their lives, not only during the holiday season, but throughout the entire year.
