Sunday, December 13th, hundreds of parents and children served by PB&J Family Services will gather at Dave and Busters for a warm breakfast and fun and games alongside Santa Claus. Dave and Busters is generously sharing the holiday spirit by bringing play and togetherness to families whose parents too often feel the stress of seeing their children go without special treats.  This year they will eat breakfast with Santa and play games with their families.

“During the holiday season many of PB&J’s families are in great need and struggling to give their children the Christmas experiences so many of us get to have. We wanted to help make that struggle a little less stressful for our families and we’re very excited to see the kids meet Santa”  Julie Miller, Dave and Busters Special Events Assistant.

In 2015 more than 869 children under 6 were nurtured by PB&J Family Services. 100% of those children received comprehensive development assessments and 70% of our children made significant gains in social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. “Opportunities for   families to interact in a new and playful setting allows then to create memories and to feel a part of their community. All families need this – especially at the holidays.. Dave and Busters is giving a beautiful gift to our families. said Susannah Burke, PB&J’s Executive Director

PB&J Family Services began in 1972 as a volunteer effort to provide support to mothers with mental illness. The organization has grown to a nationally accredited child abuse prevention and treatment program that provides parenting education, early intervention and case management for New Mexico’s most vulnerable families.
